Mr. Tidey is a Canadian Educator, who has taught at the elementary and high school levels, and at university levels where he lectured in a teacher preparation program. He has experience in administration at the high school, school board and Provincial Ministry of Education levels. While at the Ministry he managed several curriculum areas and was instrumental in developing new innovative programs and funding initiatives, including those that targeted visible minorities. He was a senior administrator for the federal government of Canada during the time of their national stay-in-school initiative. He has operated his own English as a Second Language programs in China and consults internationally, in the areas of English as a Second Language, cooperative education, programs for visible minorities and pre-primary education. He has been principal of the main campus of The Great Lakes College of Toronto for over 4 years.
Mr. Tidey’s degrees and certificates, along with his wide variety of experiences in the Ontario education system and in other education systems in Canada and internationally have prepared him for his role with The Great Lakes College of Toronto.
