To prepare students for post secondary success in North American universities and colleges by developing their English language, academic knowledge and study skills. The preparation of students for university involves the support and development of self-discipline, hard work and stable moral characteristics. Success is never a state of achievement but always a state of achieving.
1) GLCT 5 months Fast -Track Program for Pre-university Course
January & March Intake
Courses run from January / March to August
Graduates gain direct admissions to university by September of the same year
June & September Intake
Allows students to enter university by January the following year
2) University / College Preparation Courses
University / college preparation courses include content that is relevant for both university and college programs. These courses are designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills they need to meet the entrance requirements for specific university and college programs.
Minimum six preparation courses will be required by university entrance.
3) English As Second Language (ESL) Program
Our five-level English as a Second Language (ESL) program is based on the new curriculum developed by the Ontario Ministry of Education and administered by s staff of highly profession teachers. This program enables students to acquire effective communication skills in all areas of language study, including reading, writing, speaking, and listening, can enable students to achieve the standard of English necessary to succeed in high school and university courses. Students may finish each level in two months.
4) Grade 10, 11, 12 High School Course
During the time at GLCT, students select an appropriate combination of academic, applied and open courses in order to add to their knowledge and skills base, explore courses of college interests, and determine the type of educational program, they are best suited to pursuit in Grade 10, 11 and 12.
5) GLCT Language Study and Tour Summer Camp
Since 1994, our college has began offering a Language Study and Tour Summer Camps and the success of the summer camps has grown each year, attracting young people from all over the world. Our summer camp program allow students to learn and practice English as a Second Language (ESL) and at the same time, have fun while visiting major attractions in Toronto, and other areas of Ontario.
