Valedictorian                                                    Oghor Collins ( from Nigeria)

Good morning, ladies and gentlmen, distinguished staff of GLCT and honrary guests. Before I continue, I would like to say how flattered  I am to be addressing such a distinguished people on this special occassion. I feel very honoured and must say a big thank you to Mr. Tom Tidey and the entire staff of the school for giving me this privilege of being the class valedictorian.

Just like all of my fellow graduates to say, I am with pride and a great sense of accoplishment for passing through this prestingious institute of learning. I remember coming to Great Lakes College a few months ago with a lot of weight on my shoulders; I had the difficult task of doing all 6 courses in 5 months. I am never one to doubt myself but when I saw the workload on hand, I became a bit skeptical. However, something kept telling me of I could do this anywhere in the sworld then its in the Great Lakes College of Toronto. And what makes the Great Lakes College of Toronto great indeed are these wonderful members of staff and you my peers.

I stand here and without having tgo look too far I see great engineers, ground-breaking scientists, business executives, lawyers, docotors and professional in various areas of expertise. I see people who would invest new technologies, find cure to diseases,

I have no doubt whatever that each and everyone of you graduates(myself included) is special. I want you all to endeavow to make use of your God-given talents, coupled with the skills you have learnt from this school and make the worlda better place. We will all be going to various universities, meeting new people and facing numerous challenges. Throuhg all these, always have at the back of your mind that you can make a difference, a positive difference.

Before I take my leave, Imust show my gratitude and indeed the profound gradtitute of all graduates to the teachers who have helped us in achieving this flat. I am abslutely certain everyone here agrees with me that without these exceptional teachers, we would not be here today with smiles on our faces.

On behalf of all graduates, I want to thank all who have come to this coccassion. Once again, congratulations to the 2009 graduating studentss and their teachers as well. Thank you very much for your audience.
