1）Obtained Ontario Secondary School Diploma
2）Received 6 Grade 12 Credits, that meet the university's program requirement.
3）Passed Ontario Grade 10 Literacy Test or OLC4O Course.
4）Complete at least 40 hours of community services approved by the Principal.
5）IELTS 6.0-7.5; TOEFL: 80-100,(IBT), or University's literacy proficiency test.
2. How to apply
Student's home school will submit student's marks to OUAC (Ontario University Application Centre). Once the student has activated the account and completed university program choices, OUAC would submit the student's application and marks to the university of student's choice.
3. Admission Requirement
1）There is no entrance exam for entering university in Canada; however, the admission criteria are generally based on student's overall average of their 6 highest Grade 12 credits.
2）Different universities and different programs have different course requirements in terms of the 6 Grade 12 credits. Normally, once the student has achieved grade requirements for the program, he or she will not have any problem obtaining admission to that program.
3）Most of Canadian Universities and Colleges will require International Students, whose first language is not English or has not been studying in Canada for more than 3 years to have taken IELTS or TOEFL. To receive an early university offer, the student should submit his or her best IELTS/TOEFL result in March, and no later than mid-May. Also, some programs will require student's Grade 12 English (ENG4U) grade to be at least 75 or write University's English proficiency test.
4. Admission Period
1）All Universities & Colleges: Fall Admission - September
2) Some Universities & Colleges: Winter Admission - January, Summer Admission - May/July
5. University Acceptance Offer
Every university has a different schedule for sending offers to students. Once the student has received the acceptance offer from the desired university, he or she will need to accept the offer from the OUAC website before the deadline.
